How to Set the Mirror Mode or Extend Mode on MAC While Using Huion Pen Display?


Connect your pen display to the computer and refer to the following display modes for settings of an additional monitor on Mac.

 

Mirror Mode. What is shown on your computer will be duplicated on the pen display, which is called Duplicate display on Windows.

Extend mode. Your desktop will be extended and displayed on two separate monitors, with each one showing different parts of the interface.

 

To mirror your display in macOS.

Mirror display is default on macOS as your pen display is connected.

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences > click Displays and then select the Arrangement tab to make sure the Mirror Displays checkbox is selected.

 

 

 

 

To set Extend Displays on macOS.

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences > click Displays and then select the Arrangement tab to unselect the Mirror Displays checkbox, and thereafter you will enter the Extend mode, where the display with a white bar is the primary display.

 

 

As is shown below, the small screen is your MacBook, while the large one is the pen display. To change your primary display, you will need to drag the white bar to another display.

 

 

You can also rearrange the displays and relocate the menu as you desire.

How to Set the Duplicate Mode or Extend Mode on Windows While Using Huion Pen Display?


Connect your pen display to the computer and refer to the following display modes for settings of an additional monitor on Windows.

 Duplicate mode. What is shown on your computer will be duplicated on the pen display, which is called Mirror display on macOS.

Extend mode. Your desktop will be extended and displayed on two separate monitors, with each one showing different parts of the interface.

 

To set Windows as Duplicate display.

Step 1. Click the Start menu down the left corner of your desktop and then launch the Control PanelSettings > System Display.

 

 

Step 2. Find Multiple displays down the page, select Duplicate these displays, and then apply.

 

To set Windows as Extend display.

Step 1. Similar to the settings of the Duplicate mode, launch the Control PanelSettings > System > Display.

 

Step 2. You may select the checkbox of Make this my main display to set your pen display as the main display.

 

Step 2. Find Multiple displays down the page, select Extend these displays and then apply.

 

  

Step 3. You can also rearrange the displays to your desired position.

Why Does the Pen Display Have Black Borders and Cannot Be Displayed in Full Screen After Connecting to the Computer?

In general, the reasons for the black border on the Pen Display or the pen display cannot be displayed in full screen are as follows:

  1. When the computer was equipped with a graphics card, the connection cable between the pen display and the computer monitor is not connected to the graphics card.

  2. The computer display resolution is not uniformly set to Best for HAT.


How to solve the problem that the pen display has a black border and cannot be displayed in full size?

 

Solutions for macOS

   1. Make sure the Pen Display connected with the computer running Mac System.

   2. Open the System Preferences on Mac and find the Displays.

       

    3. Select Best for HAT in optimize for both Displays.

 

 

 

Solution for Windows

   1. To ensure that the image shown on the screen of pen display is the same as that of the computer screen, please plug the connection cable between the pen display and the computer to the integrated graphics card or discrete graphics card. (P.S. please plug the cable to the discrete graphics card but if the computer without a discrete graphics card, please connect the cable to the integrated graphics card.)

    2. Right click on the desktop and then select Display settings.

                                                                                                                                                                   

       3.  Click on Display 1 and select the recommended resolution of the system, it is shown as the picture below 

    

4. Click on Display 2, select the recommended resolution of the system, it is shown as the picture below

 

 

If the above-mentioned methods cannot work, please check if the driver of the graphics card is installed, if the resolution of the pen display can be recognized or not, and etc.

How to Turn on The Wireless Mode for A Tablet That Supports Wireless Connection?

Huion’s wireless tablet can connect to your computer wirelessly via 2.4GHz wireless technology, which with a wireless range of up to 10 meters.

 How to turn on the wireless mode of the tablet, take the G10T graphic tablet of Huion as an example:

 (1) Install the driver to your computer as prompted, you can click Windows and Mac respectively to check the tutorials of driver installation.

 (2) Plug the wireless receiver into the USB port of the computer and unplug the USB-C cable from the computer at the same time.

 (3) Press the power button and the tablet will start working. Make sure the tablet is fully charged before you start using it.

1. How to know if my mobile phone or tablet is compatible with HS610 or HS64?

Your phone or tablet must be equipped with Android 6.0 or above and should have OTG function. If you are not sure, please consult our customer service at service@huion.com for further information.

 

2. Can I connect HS610 or HS64 to iPhone or iPad?

No, you cannot connect it to an iPhone or iPad. Currently, these two models only support Windows 7 or above, Mac OS 10.12 or above and Android 6.0 or above.

 

3. Knowing from your website that HS610 and HS64 can be compatible with Android phones, can it be used in an Android tablet?

Yes, it can be used in an Android tablet but it has some certain specifications.

Firstly, you should make sure that the Android system of your tablet is Android 6.0 or above. Secondly, your Android tablet should have OTG function and have it enabled. Similarly, for connecting the HS610 or HS64 to an Android phone, you should make sure that your phone has the above-mentioned specifications as well.

 

4. How to know that my phone/ tablet has enabled the OTG function or not?

Generally speaking, the OTG function has been enabled already, but for some models, you need to enable it yourself. For enabling the OTG function, please go to SettingsOther settings > find the OTG connection and enable it.

 

5. How to use OTG function to connect the tablet to an Android phone or tablet?

Firstly, make sure that you have enabled the OTG function on the phone or tablet. Secondly, please choose the right OTG adapter from the package, depending on the USB port type of your phone or tablet; then connect the pen tablet to your phone or tablet as shown in the following illustration:

 

6. Do I need to install a driver when connecting the tablet to an Android phone or tablet?

No, you don’t need to install a driver. The pen tablet can work without installing any driver into your phone or tablet.

 

7. What is the work area of the HS610 or HS64?

In the PC mode, which refers to connecting the tablet to a PC or laptop, the work area of HS610 is 254 x 158.8mm (as shown in the green area) and the work area of HS64 is 160 x 102mm (as shown in the green area). In the phone mode, which refers to connecting the tablet to an Android phone or tablet, the work area of HS610 is 158.8 x 99.2mm (as shown in the red area) and the work area of HS64 is 102 x 63.8mm (as shown in the red area).

                       

Please note that once connected to a phone or tablet, the pen tablet will automatically detect the phone mode, in which the pen can only work in the red area to the left. In addition, if you connect the tablet to a PC or laptop without any driver installed, it will still recognize it as the phone mode. So in this situation, the work area of the pen tablet will be as shown in the red area.

 

8. What should I do when the tablet fails to enter the phone mode?

When the HS610 pen tablet failed to enter the phone mode automatically, please press button 1 and 5 at the same time for 3 seconds to enter the phone mode.

When the HS64 pen tablet failed to enter the phone mode automatically, please press button 1 for 3 seconds to enter the phone mode.

 

9. Will the touch ring, express keys and the pen buttons work in the phone mode?

No, the touch ring, express keys and the pen buttons cannot work in the phone mode.

 

10. What does OTG refer to?

OTG is the abbreviation of On-The-Go. It is a technology developed in recent years, which was announced by the USB Implementers Forum on December 18, 2001. It is mainly used for the connection between various devices or mobile devices for data exchange.

 

11. What app can be used in phone mode?

Theoretically, as long as it is a drawing software that can be used under Android OS, then you can use that drawing software in the phone mode.

 

12. Can I use the tilt function of HS610 in the phone mode?

If the software you use can support the tilt function, then you can use the tilt function in the phone mode.

 

13. Will there be pen pressure in the app under the phone mode?

It depends on the software itself. If the drawing software has pen pressure then the pen has pen pressure under the phone mode.
